I’ve been more interested in sculpture as a carrier, container or instrument recently. Dependent on context, the bouquet of magnetic flowers, that form hit can host a variety of magnetic objects. In moths and butterflies, a show Teuta Jonuzi and me curated in a shopping mall in Bregenz, Austria, it was coins, keys and a fève – a small trinket hidden in a king cake –, as if someone was magnet fishing in trouser pockets. Presented on folded A4 paper, hit wants to tell a fragmented story depending on each exhibition's context with the A4 paper acting as both a supporting pedestal and a marker of a story yet to be written.
For vacancy at Space n.n. in Munich, curator Sebastian Quast invited 12 artists from Vienna to show a work on a bunkbed and spend the nights of the opening weekend there. For this, I developed a kind mounting for the flowers to be attached to the bunkbed's structure. vacancy was part of Various Others.
