Der öffentliche Beamte, der Bedienstete eines Staatsbetriebes, der Bedienstete einer Eisenbahn, eines Schifffahrsunternehmens oder einer staatlich geschützten Unternehmung, der im Vereine mit anderen in der Absicht, den Dienst oder Betrieb zu stören die Erfüllung seiner Pflichten ganz oder zum Teile verweigert oder unterlässt, oder seine Arbeit in einer Weise verrichtet, die geeignet ist, den Dienst oder Betrieb zu erschweren wird wegen Vergehens mit strengem Arreste von sechs Wochen bis zu einem Jahre bestraft. I developed this piece while quiet-quitting at my side job, playing around with a sheet of etiquettes I was supposed to work with, thinking about issues of time, moon cycles, the dread of bureaucratic and automatable work and procrastination as resistance while researching the history of striking. The font used is derived from the Reichsgesetzblatt nr. 155, a legal text issued by the Austrian Monarchy two days before their declaration of war against the Kingdom of Serbia in 1914, the beginning of WW1. In this document, which remained at least formally active until 1999, the Monarchy declared the illegality of state workers to strike in any way.

For the contribution of Vienna-based art space Laurenz to SYSTEMA 2024 in Marseille, I produced a gel sticker, sort of following the spirit of Alleine im Vereine mit Anderen.
